I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher on a neuroanatmical study to examine the topographic organization of the basal forebrain projections to association and limbic cortical areas and to compare with the topography of corticocortical connections using retrograde tracers in rats. I previously worked on neuroanatomical studies of corticocortical connections of association and limbic cortical areas including the temporal pole, the perirhinal and parahippocampal cortices, the orbitomedial prefrontal cortex, the hippocampus, and the entorhinal cortex in monkeys and rats, and also did neuroanatomical and electrophysiological studies in visual association cortical areas in monkeys. I am interested in neuroanatomical connections of association and limbic cortical areas. More fundamentally, my interest has been in the problem of consciousness since I was a student.
